Okay...I was perusing the 'recommended music and writers' page over on catie's official site.  I don't remember having been on that page...at least not in a long while...and I was curious to see who she put up there.  As I looked at the list, I was reminded of Faith Soloway's entertaining perspective and hysterical theatrical endeavors...two of which Catie was very much involved in.  I thought that if you hadn't seen them yet...or even heard of them...I'd help you take a hysterical journey to Faith's world.  Any clips you can see or listen to, I'd highly recommend doing so...just make sure you don't drink at the same time, you'll kill your keyboard!

First, I own Miss Folk America and have watched it many times, crackin' up and shaking my head at the same time!  Cheesy  I generally describe it as a camp skit gone wild...and camp in every sense of the word!!  It stars a plethera of Boston area folk icons, Catie, Kris Delmhorst, Jennifer Kimball, Megan Toohey, Mary Gauthier and Lori McKenna, among others.  You can see a clip from the show here.

I have, however, yet to get my hands on Jesus Has Two Mommies...with Catie in the role of Josephine, the carpenter.  Be sure to visit the media page from that...got a lovely trailer and fun production and performance photos.  This page has all the audio and video clips available from her various productions.

However...I just saw a new one that I didn't know she did...the "F-Word".  Any L-Word fans I'm sure would LOVE this!!  I just watched the opening credits and cracked up!  Catie didn't make it into this one, but it still looks funny as hell.

So...keep your eyes out for more.  And if anyone has had the good fortune of seeing any of these live and in person...you have GOT to tell us all about it!

I think Catie had a cameo in "The F-Word" -- there's a photo on her site with Faith and Merle Perkins. I was bummed that I missed that show, but I'll get it as soon as it's available on VHS or DVD. I own "Miss Folk America" and "Jesus Has Two Mommies", and put one of the CDs on whenever I need a laugh.
