I saw Catie perform in August at Jonathan's Restaurant in Ogunquit, ME.  It was a great show.  She played 9 or 10 songs from Long Night Moon, then threw in a few older songs that were crowd favorites (Elizabeth, Kiss That Counted, What's the Matter, Magnolia Street).  She played a couple of new songs. One was very political and fitting for the times.  Not sure if that one will make it to a record or not.

Then some friends and I saw her perform this past Sunday in Provincetown.  This was a great show too.  I can actually recall all the songs she played -

From Long Night Moon:
Find You Now
Strange
Rope Swings and Avalanches
Hey California
Passing Through

Others:
What's the Matter
Soulfully/Kiss That Counted - she sang these two songs blended together, amazing
Elizabeth
Red Light
Magnolia Street
Nobody Knows Me At All - by the Weepies
The Lobster License Plate Song

There was a lot of energy at this show.  Catie's aunt joined her on stage to sing Passing Through which was a nice touch.  A request for Soulfully turned into a comedy routine when Catie invited some excited fans on stage to sing with her.  The problem was that these two women were at their first Catie concert so they couldn't sing Soulfully because they'd never heard it before (imagine that).  When she asked them what they could sing, one replied Kiss by Prince.  So Catie plucked a beat on her guitar and the girl began to sing.  The entire audience was howling with laughter.  Catie commented that it was probably the strangest thing that's ever happened at a gig.  All of you on the West Coast are in for a treat.  Have fun.

LAURAT-Thanks so much for sharing your show stories.  Sounds like a blast both times.

HEATHER-It's been a while since I did the merch. job.  I need to get on that again some time.  I don't have a salesperson personality usually, but if I believe in what I sell I can be fairly convincing.
