Saw Mark Erelli with Eilen Jewell last night at CLub Passim in Cambridge.  ANy of you check out Eilen?  The first time we saw her at The Green River Festival in Greenfield, MA, I said to Roy "OMG - she'd be AWESOME with Mark".. and it was a GREAT show: www.eilenjewellband.com

So I missed this post originally and have finally gotten around to checking out Eilen...online, at least.  She does sound good.  I like her kind blend of some old timey sound with a bit of a jazz flavor mixed in with some good ol' hillbilly swing...not unlike a Mark Erelli tune! Wink

I don't see anything local any time soon...well, in Santa Rosa as an opener for Chuck Prophet in December.  Call me lazy, but even with as far as I drive for very special people, that's a bit out of range for a Friday night and someone I've never seen before for an opening set.  I'll keep an eye if she plays somewhere closer.
