Saw Catie at the Me & Thee Coffee House in Marblehead, MA last night... nice, cozy show!  Liz Carlisle opened.. I think I may like her but she had a short set, so I am not sure.

Catie's set was "OK"... never thought I'd say that about Catie... she seemed comfortable, but the set wasn't great.   I've laways hated it when any performer turns a song into a sing-along, and Catie played Kiss That Counted and Passin Through, back-to-back - in that "kumbaya" way...

It was also a late show at an out-of-the-way venue.  Even the locals laughed when we stopped ansked where the church was... it was the North Shore equivilent of "can't get thay-ah from hey-ah"...

Hi PAUL&ROY!

Glad to hear a report about the Marblehead show.  I have been to that venue once to see Girlyman.  It's a cool venue, but we had a ton of trouble trying to find it as well and the parking situation is not great either.  Once you're inside though it's cool...the pews, all the gay friendly things hanging on the wall.  The three members of Girlyman could hardly fit on the stage though.  Ty had to put some of her drums on the floor next to the stage.  It was a hoot...much better stage for one, I'm sure!  Sorry to hear you weren't crazy about the set.  I happen to like the sing-a-long kind of thing.  I guess it's all preference.  Anyway, a couple of postings ago on her site, she mentioned something about having some new songs.  Did she play any of them?  Please fill us in.

Yikes.. should've been a little better about checking for replies!  She did play a few new songs - honestly, these 3 weeks later, I do not remember any of them!  I don't think there was anything that particulalry grabbed me, though...
