These girls rock!!  Well, okay, they don't really rock, but they do kick ass.  Their harmonies are tight and sweet and they sing a few killer a capella songs that bring silence to hear a pin drop in every venue I've seen them in.

The Jennys
are a lovely trio+ with roots in Winnepeg, Manitoba...that'd be in Canada.  They won a Juno with their debut album "40 Days", been nominated for a Juno with their second album "Firecracker", done several guest appearances on A Prairie Home Companion, including the televised APHC July 4 special and have expanded their touring to larger venues filled with an ever increase fan base not only through the US and Canada, but worldwide.

They group has continued to evolve through the years and they are now what one of their die-hard supporters dubbed as Jennys 3.0.  The newest Jenny is Heather Masse and she has brought not only the depth of a bass, but her smooth and soulful low alto/tenor ranged voice.  A lovely and exciting new Jennys blend.  To complement the talent of these wonderful voices, the Jennys added their "token" male Jenny who plays some kick ass fiddle, mando...and hair...Mr. Jeremy Penner.  They don't have a CD started with this Jennys blend...yet, but I'm sure looking forward to when they do!

Fortune brought the Jennys into my life a few years ago when they made their first California road trip tour.  Good friends from Seattle called and asked if I could put them up with a place to crash when they got to the Bay...absolutely!  I had never heard of them before nor had I ever heard them before...but being awesome people and musicians themselves, I trust my friends taste in music and friends.  Plus, I always like to do what I can to help out traveling independent musicians bringing us such great music.  I was certainly not disappointed.  Not only are they awesome artists and musicians, they're good people and a hoot to hang out with as well!

At various times since our 2004 introduction, I've had the pleasure of being their Mistress of Merch, roadie, or caravan leader through Southern California.  I love doing what I can to support those doing what I love...live acoustic music.

In November they'll be playing in TN, SC, NC and VA.  Keep an eye on their gig list...and if they're anywhere near you...go see the show...and tell 'em I sent ya!   Cheesy
