WEST COAST TOUR starts NOW!

I am writing to announce the start of my West Coast Tour. The last time I came back from the west coast, I got a whole bunch of emails saying "When are you coming to the West Coast?" This is simply unacceptable!! Please spread the word to friends, because I would love to see you out there this time, and lord knows it will be at least another year until I'm back again. Thanks.

The tour starts at Acoustic Music San Diego (see specific show info, below) on October 19th, featuring Julie Wolf on keys and vocals, and Lisa Sanders opening. Then I board the Olivia Cruise to Mexico for a few days of performing while at sea (I know, rough life).

I jump ship midweek and head up the California coast to Berkeley, for two nights at Freight and Salvage (Oct 24 and 25) with Rachel Garlin, a dynamic singer/songwriter with roots in the Bay Area. On Friday, I'll perform at WOW Hall in Eugene, OR, with the talented Chris Pureka opening. Her new CD Dryland is fantastic.

I'll make my way to Portland and Seattle on Saturday and Sunday, where the incredible horn-playing-singer-songwriter Mel Watson (of the band Fruit) will open. The early show at Mississippi Studios in Portland is sold out, but there are tickets for the late show. And finally, we'll be at one of my favorite venues on the planet, the Tractor Tavern, on October 28 (Sunday).

I am looking forward to the Moab Folk Festival in November, along with a few more upcoming Northeast dates including one in New Jersey and one in Cambridge, MA (Jimmy Tingle's in Somerville is closing, so my December 9th show there is canceled and I've moved it to Club Passim at 4 PM on the same day.) Keep checking in at www.catiecurtis.com for updates on other December shows, and the 2008 schedule.

And one last thing, if you are an Ellen fan, scroll through the 6 luminaries from Maine on Ellen's new AOL website to find none other than Ms. Me, following the likes of Patrick Dempsey (Dr. McDreamy). http://ellen.aol.com/editorial/famous+faces+from+maine

Thanks, and see you out there.
