Still haven't bought the CD, but did listen to a friend's...haven't listened enough to have an opinion yet.
But I was at their show at the Warfield on the 9th. It was a great show, but it was really mixed with old and new...didn't focus quite as much as I thought it would with the new stuff. Yes...they played several, but I guess it's not an IG gig without a healthy serving of the fan faves and "classic IG" songs. I most certainly do not remember the set list here...but I did walk out with one of the guitar picks this time! Could have had the bass player's set list...but there was another gal who didn't quite catch it before I did that REALLY wanted it, I could tell. Me catching it was more of an accident anyway...I'm tall, so I gave it to her.
Bitch and the Exciting Conclusion opened...and she was a lot of fun. I hadn't seen her perform before either, but I've heard lots and lots about her. In particular from my friend Chewy who has become friends with her while working for many years at the
Michigan Women's Festival (who has still yet been able to get me there as a festie!) She's also who got me tix to the show and was standing against the stage at stage left...taking copious unofficial phone pictures!

All I'm gonna say is that "Pussy Manifesto" was a particular hit with my group of friends!

Trina Mead and Tomi Martin from
Three5Human came in late to sing Midnight Train to Georgia and a couple others with the Girls...with Bitch backing up some too. They opened for IGs last time I saw a show and were really good...nice to see them again.
